Arriving in San Thomas on a small plane with only 8 passengers (Cape Air) was a new exerience for us, it was quite thrilling and the view from the windows were fantastic. We lodged at the Bolongo Bay resort, on the southeastern shore of the island. This was a nice place to snorkel, swim, explore the beaches and rocks, and drink rum in the evening parties. They had fire eating performances, music and dance. We made a trip to downtown Charlotte-Amalie, the shopping mecca of the Virgin Islands. The yachts and cruiseships were impressive parking in the harbor. From Charlotte-Amalie we boarded a submarine to view the coral reef. This was a lot of fun indeed.
