This city on the rugged Dalmatian coast has incredible high mountains dropping directly to the sea, creating rugged cliffs where the bastions along the city walls were built on. Many wooded islands dot the blue Adriatic, the uniformly orange-colored roof tiles of this tiny walled old town and the cream colored marble of its edifices paint a very harmonious picture. We toured the city walls in the rain, they're so well-preserved. The town is very clean and felt relaxing yet dramatic. Mom commented that this would be a great vacation town.
