Paris, Île-de-France, France

Returning from Chamonix via a night train, we had half a day in Paris before catching our flight back to San Francisco. It was Mike's first time in France so I took him on a whirlwind walk-about of major sights: the Eiffel tower, Tuileries Gardens, the Louvre, Notre Dame cathedral, Luxembourg Gardens, the Marais district, and Canal St Martin. The only place we went inside was the Notre Dame. The grandeur of the city layout exemplified by Tuileries Gardens, the Louvre, and the Seine river shoreline never ceases to amaze.
