Went on a road trip with mom to visit grandma's classmate Betty in Jacksonville, Illinois. Grandma Susan attended the all female Monmouth College in northwestern Illinois in 1935 after she was sponsored to study in the US by a Presbyterian Church in China. Betty's husband George is a great guy who served in the US diplomatic service during the World War II. George drove us to Monmouth, Illinois to visit the college campus. We visited grandma's music teacher Alice, who's in her nineties, and heard her play piano at a local restaurant. Afterwards we drove to Chicago to see another family friend.
