Went with my friend Reggie and stayed at my family friend Wally's house on the hill with great views over the city. Wally took a day to drive us to see UC Berkely and Stanford University. Stanford University's church and courtyard was really stately and impressive, while I admired Berkeley's liberal tradition and fame in physics discoveries. I had already decided to come to UC Berkeley for graduate school, and this trip made me feel more impressed with the beauty of the Bay Area and the romance and optimism of the west coast.
